Fitness with my family

This weekend was my birthday (and my aunt debbies 60th!), and a few of my family members said they were interested in getting a workout program. So I decided to host a little workout session. We set up mats and got some bands and dumbells in the backyard to get going. Everyone did well, and realized how tough exercise is when you neglect it for so long!
Here are some of the exercises we did: tricep extensions, bicep curls with band and dumbbells,  band pulls, dumbell side raises, shoulder presses, squats, hip extensions, external rotations, superwomans, crunches, modified planks, reverse crunches, one leg swings, butt blasters, seated leg raise (for abdominals).

If any ladies have any questions about their exercises please message me and I will clarify! There is no better birthday present than seeing loved ones improve their health and extend their lives!
I spent the weekend eating waaay too much, and exercising. I went for a lovely bike ride down a trail and then ran to beautiful port dalhousie while my boyfriend bike rode beside me. There is something so lovely about hearing the crashing waves. I was pooped after a 3k run (yeah, Im not a runner) and stopped for a little break, looking across the lake at Toronto. I don't think I have been this calm and at peace in a while, I really do miss my hometown. We continued on our journey, and then made our way back to the family bday. The last 2 k were pretty awful, I thought it was more than the 9km that I did, until I checked the google map. I need work on my cardio. I blame my stubby legs. Anways, the weekend was amazing. My mother is the best host ever, and I cannot ever compare with her cooking and entertaining skills. We come back bloated every time. That night, lying in bed, Ryan said to me "One day I will take you somewhere special for your birthday, we can visit a big city that youd like to go to." While I appreciate the good intentions, there is absolutly no other place I would like to spend my birthday, than surrounded by family, at home. So here we go 26 years old, and 38 days until my the IDFA Eastern Canada Classic. Don't forget your workouts my friends!
