Weighty Matters and Nutella/Breakfast for learning

http://www.weightymatters.ca/2011/11/breakfast-for-learning-needs-to-learn.htmlWeighty Matters is a wonderful blog written by a Canadian Bariatric Surgeon, and often speaks of fast food chains, processed food products, and any and every interesting and notable issues regarding weight, food, and health.
In this post he speaks about Nutella and the Breakfast for Learning program. He notes that chocolate frosting has less calories and sugar per serving than nutella, and questions why the non profit organization would promote Nutella. As usual it all has to do with money! We should be able to trust these organizations. There is so much conflicting information in the nutrition field, and it is hard for lay people to know who or what to believe. We should be able to have confidence in these groups. Yoni, the authour of the blog, also challenges the health check program in some of his posts. Check them out!
Another point of interest: Cadbury is the main sponsor for the 2012 Olympics....I love cadbury, but whats with all the unhealthy companies sponsoring the greatest athletic event?
