New Years Resolution Check in

15:41Whitney Hills

Happy Sunday everyone! It's about that time where we need to evaluate the last few weeks and make the appropriate moves to ensure that we are all on the paths to achieving our goals of happiness and health! It is perfectly normal to slip up on our journeys but the most important thing is to get back on the proverbial horse ASAP and get back in line, before it becomes too daunting of a task.

Now for those of you that know me, I had a little wipe out while running. Thankfully my athleticism prevented me from doing a complete faceplant, but I still ended up with a bruised and sore back. After two weeks of not running my partner reminded me that the dog was feeling a little upset that I abandoned our running routine. I realized that I was being lazy and making excuses (its too cold...never
mind I ran all last year in the artic freeze) so headed out today. Point is sometimes we need a reminder that yes, we fucked up, slipped a bit.
For those of you wanting to transform your life remember:
*WORKouts are not only fun, they are work. You must work hard every single time to transform your body. It's going to take some effort. Bottom line. I try to text my clients periodically to remind them to get to the gym! Don't take it personally.
*Don't slack off on the water/green tea intake. It's important.
*Meal planning and logging makes you so much more likely to succeed. Do it. This is why I ask my clients every week about their food and cardio. A check in helps you to be responsible.
*Social support is very important. If you are slipping find a buddy or group ASAP to help.

Don't give up now! Remember you are changing your life with your new habits and learning a new way of living! Whether you take baby steps or are able to make leaps and bounds, the final destination is the same. Be patient and treat your body with kindness and if you need a helping hand be sure to ask :)
