MMMMMMM breakfast!

First off, let me say how much I adore smoothies. I was getting sucked into Booster Juice when I was going through my depression in December, despite all the crappy juice and frozen yogurt calories that I knew I was consuming. Today I made a delicious shake, with veggies, in my blender! I knew I had a great blender, but I was shocked to see it pulverize raw carrots and mango skin. I used half a very ripe mango with the skin, 1/4 of a large carrot, handful of parsley, small amount of grated ginger, a squeeze of lemon with some zest, and 2/3 cup of frozen raspberries. I blended this with 1/2 scoop unflavored natural protein powder, water, and ice. It was amazing!!

I also made myself some lemon/parsley water. I have moderate chronic kidney disease (no one can figure out why, and it comes and goes) and parsley is supposed to be a great kidney detoxifier. I was expecting the hot water to be unpalatable, but it actually has a bit of a umami taste to it! Who knew this diet would be so yummy. I seriously have my doubts about keeping lean eating so many fruits and veggies, but a week cant hurt. Stay healthy everyone! Please feel free to comment on your resolutions or diet questions :)
