I am a frozen yogurt addict. I prefer cultures, menchies, and freshii to satisfy my habit. My yearly costs of frozen yogurt could probably equal that of a car. But whatever. Let's not get into that. I have convinced myself it keep the IBS away with all of the healthy bacterial cultures. I can avoid the ice cream, but gelato is another favourite of mine.
        For those of you that would like a gelato while staying on your diet, there is a place that can let you have the best of both worlds! Hollywood Gelato, located on 1640 Bayview Avenue, has a high fibre, high protein gelato available! It is called Quantum, is made by the family run store, and comes in individual serving sizes. I believe the only flavours at the moment are chocolate and cappucino. I have emailed the company for nutrition information, so that should be here shortly. I can't say enough good things about this place. Their keylime milkshakes are AMAZING, and pear sorbet delicious. At thanksgiving they make pumpkin pie with a shortbread crust. This would be the way to my heart. The cute store makes great coffee and fresh, handmade gelato and sorbets. It is probably a good thing that they are so far away from me.
